P.B.A. Local #245 is the only association that represents the members of the Fort Lee Police Department. As a benevolent association we also sponsor a number of community events. We are actively involved in sponsorship of athletic teams, blood drives, support for families in need, and many other charitable organizations. Our members donate countless hours of their time each year to community events and fundraisers. We are also active sponsors in Autism Speaks, The Judy Center for Down syndrome at Hackensack University Medical Center, and New Jersey Special Olympics and Tomorrow's Children. Every Christmas, members of the Local travel to area hospitals and give out toys to the children. Food and toys are also collected and given to families in need throughout the holiday season.
Our local is one of the strongest in the state. We help support the families of officers killed in the line of duty, as well as participate in the Police Unity Tour which benefits the Police Officer’s Memorial in Washington D.C. We are always available when it comes to supporting our community.
REMEMBER: Your local PBA members NEVER solicit for donations “door to door” or by phone. If anyone approaches any resident on behalf of the Fort Lee PBA or other police related organization, we urge you to refuse and immediately contact the police department. Throughout the year you may also receive many phone solicitations by people claiming to be the Fort Lee PBA or similar organization. Again, we NEVER solicit by phone.
